From there, our capabilities cover the full spectrum of sheet metal fabrication: shearing, punching, contour cutting, forming, rolling, welding, trimming and finishing to your most exacting specifications. But we don’t stop there, we also have an experienced Inspection Staff to make sure your component parts and/or assemblies meet your expectations.
We at Jomico have been in the metal fabrication business since 1956, before most companies were fabricating sheet metal parts as a fill-in to regular production. Joseph M. Saputo, our founder and CEO/Chairman of the board, saw the need for a company which would specialize solely in the fabrication of sheet metal. He started Jomico strictly as a service business, only producing parts and assemblies required for products of other manufacturers. His goal was to offer the sheet metal industry quality and timely service at a competitive cost---this goal still serves as our guiding purpose for being in business, especially in today’s increasingly competitive market.
Thomas M. Saputo, President, joined the firm in 1965, bringing with him a quest to keep Jomico ahead of the competition. This continuous improvement philosophy as well as a commitment to leadership and excellence has assured up-to-date production techniques and machinery, keeping the company’s capabilities in tune with modern business technology. Our production plant and executive office complex houses one of the best CAD/CAM facilities in the nation; we offer complete computer-aided product engineering and design support fully integrated with our CNC manufacturing equipment. Jomico-produced parts are found in products representing many diverse industries; from sensitive missile guidance system components and aircraft parts to commercial parts and/or assemblies/subassemblies, turnkey cabinets and enclosures for computer, refrigeration, office, and medical equipment. Also, we have been involved in major construction projects including the World Trade Center in New York, the Saudi Arabian Airport in Mecca, and the Bank of China in Hong Kong, by fabricating quality architectural items used in these undertakings.
